

I have sent my entry forms and want to change the details, is this
possible?
No. Please ensure all the details on your entry form are correct before posting and that the work you intend to submit is finished and available for the relevant hand-in day.
Can I have my work delivered to the venue by a courier?
Yes, providing the submission form has already been received and the courier is aware of times, terms and conditions. Work must arrive only on the intake day itself and must be unwrapped.
Can I collect my work sooner than the listed date?
No. The dates for return of work are fixed and there is no-one available to deal with handing back work on other days. Uncollected work will be charged a storage fee of £10.00 sterling/15.00 euro per week.
I am unable to collect my work on the specified day; can I collect it at a later date?
No.The dates for return of work are fixed and there is no-one available to deal with handing back work on other days. Uncollected work will be charged a storage fee of £10.00 sterling/ 15.00 euro per week. Someone else may collect your work for you if authorised by you to do so.
I have sent in a submission form but have now decided not to send work; can I have a refund of the submission fee?
No. As the conditions of submissions of work explain ‘all fees are non-refundable’.
My work has been damaged whilst in the property of the RUA, can I claim?
No. It is the responsibility of the artist to insure their work throughout the duration of the time that it is in the hands of the Academy.
How will I know if my work has been selected?
Artist will be notified by post shortly after 15 August 2008. Selected artists will be posted on the website and will be invited to the Exhibition Opening on 18 September 2008.
How can I get invitations to the Exhibition Opening?
Selected artists will be sent invitations to the Private View and the invitation admits two people (yourself and your guest). Due to Health and Safety Regulations, only selected artists will receive invitations to the Private View.
How does the selection work?
Work is presented anonymously to the Selection Committee and judged on its merit. The Selection Committee is made up of the President, Members of the Council of the Academy and Invited Selectors. Each work is viewed individually and marked.
How much Commission does the RUA take?
We take 30% commission on works sold during the Exhibition.
If my work sells, when will I be paid?
We endeavour to pay all artists by cheque within one month of the close of the Exhibition.
